Where data lives

Watchlist subscriptions and push tokens live on our server (findthebrand.mothergroups.com) hosted in Australia. Photos sent for identification or authentication are processed in-memory to produce a result and are not retained on our server. Scan history, and any receipt or proof-of-purchase images you attach, are stored on your device, and — when your device is signed in to iCloud — copied to your own private iCloud container as described under “iCloud backup” below. They are never stored on our server.

iCloud backup

When your device is signed in to iCloud, Authentic Luxe keeps a copy of your collection in your own private iCloud container, so you can recover it if you reinstall the app or move to a new phone. There is no separate setting to turn this on — it follows your device's iCloud status, and you can remove the copy at any time.

The copy includes your scan history, the photos and receipts you have saved, the name on your profile and your Sign in with Apple identifier if you signed in that way, your watchlist, your app preferences and country, your free-trial usage, and an anonymous device identifier the app uses to reconnect you to your price alerts.

This data is stored under your Apple ID and is governed by Apple's privacy policy. Authentic Luxe does not receive, store or have any access to it, and it is not shared with anyone. You can delete the backup at any time from Profile, or by removing the app's data in your iCloud settings.

Shareable authenticity reports

When you choose to share an authenticity report, the report's text (brand, product, the assessment result and notes — not your photos) is published to a public web page at findthebrand.mothergroups.com/r/<id> so that recipients can verify it. Anyone with the link can view it. Don't share a report if you don't want that information public. Contact us to remove a published report.

Retention

Watchlist subscriptions remain until you remove them. If you delete the App, your local scan history is removed; subscriptions on the server are pruned the next time the App detects they are orphaned, or after 90 days of inactivity, whichever is sooner.

Your iCloud backup is not affected by deleting the App — that is what allows you to reinstall and recover your collection. It stays in your iCloud until you remove it, either from Profile in the App or through your iCloud settings.

Your rights

You can:

Children

The App is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

We will update this policy when we add features that change what is collected. The "Last updated" date above will reflect any change.
